An eGift card is an electronic gift card that is ordered and received via email or smartphone.

Yes. You have the option of including a personalized message on a physical gift card, as well as during the ordering process or you can send the gift card to yourself.
Yes. Click on the “customize card” button to upload an image you wish to use for your gift card. * Add $2.50 to create a Customized Gift Card (upload your own photo to a physical gift card.)
We support JPG, JPEG, PNG, or GIF and files up-to 5MB in size. Transparent areas will be printed white. For best results, please use the following tips:
● Use the largest file possible up to 5MB.
● Use minimum image dimensions: 686 pixels wide by 640 pixels tall with 96 dots per inch (DPI).
● Images smaller than 686 pixels wide x 640 pixels tall may result in “fuzzy” images when printed.
● Recommended browsers: Firefox 3.0+, Safari 3.0+, Internet Explorer 8.0+, or Opera 10.0+
A photo will be rejected if it contains material that, in the sole discretion of PetSmart:
● Communicates messages or images inconsistent with the positive images and/or good will to which PetSmart wishes to associate. Examples include, pets in unsafe situations, or photos that promote bigotry or discrimination.
● Disparages any person, PetSmart, its parent, subsidiaries, or affiliates, PetSmart contracted third party vendors or any such entity’s products.
● Violates or infringes upon the copyrights, trademarks, or privacy, property, publicity or other intellectual property rights of any person or entity.
● Contains any personal identification, such as personal names or e-mail addresses.
● Promotes alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms/weapons (or the use of any of the foregoing).
● Basic Guidelines for car photos/Photos:
◦ Pet’s head cannot be out the window of a moving vehicle
◦ Pet cannot be unrestrained in a moving vehicle
◦ Pet can be unrestrained if vehicle is not moving
Any photo, in the sole opinion of PetSmart, is considered inappropriate or not suitable for publication under these terms and conditions, will be rejected.
By submitting a photo, you warrant and represent that you have obtained permission from all persons in the photo (or parent or guardian of minor children or pets pictured), and that no images in the photo infringe on another party’s intellectual property rights. You agree that PetSmart is not responsible for any unauthorized use of photos by third parties.
There may be a slight delay in delivery to allow image audit process.
To edit your photo use the cropping tool and select the portion of your photo you want to keep and press the “Save” button when you are done. When uploading a custom image the portion of the image outside of the dotted line may get cut off during printing.
We accept credit card (Visa, MC, Discover and AMEX) payments. Once credit card authorization is received the order will be sent for fulfillment.
Physical Gift Card Orders: orders placed before 5p.m. ET Mon-Fri are typically shipped the next business day, excluding holidays. Orders placed after 5p.m. ET are shipped the following business day.
eGift Card Orders: are fulfilled upon receipt of credit card authorization. You should receive your eGift card order within minutes upon credit card authorization.

All physical gift cards will arrive activated and ready to use.
Once you have received your email notification that your eGift card is available, click on the “Fetch Gift Card!” button to access your eGift card.

No, PetSmart Gift Cards do not expire or carry service fees on any unused balances.
To check your Gift Card balance, please visit www.petsmart.com/checkbalance and select 'Check Your Gift Card Balance.' Enter the 16-digit Gift Card number and you will see your balance immediately. You can also check your Gift Card balance by calling 800-820-6189.
Please treat a Gift Card as you would cash. The value of the lost or stolen Gift Card is non-refundable. PetSmart may issue new cards for the unredeemed balance of a lost, stolen or damaged card upon receipt of adequate proof of purchase and card number. If your order was lost or stolen during shipment, please email us at giftcards@petsmart.com.
No, PetSmart gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash, except where required by law.
Yes. You can reload a value to your Gift Card at any PetSmart retail location in the US and Canada.

Yes, but only when ordering eGift Cards. Please note that the message will be the same for every gift card in a single order. If multiple messages are desired, each message will need to be placed in a separate order. This can be done quickly by uploading a spreadsheet that has each message listed with the associated shipping address.
You can select carriers for all physical gift card orders and these provide an opportunity for you to write in a personalized greeting if desired.

Bulk Physical Gift Card Orders: are fulfilled within three to five (3-5) business days upon receipt or verification of payment. Gift cards are sent via UPS Ground delivery. Gift cards are sent directly to the purchasing party. We do not drop ship gift card orders. This applies only to Bulk Orders of $500 or more.
Bulk eGift Card Orders: are fulfilled within three to five (3-5) business days upon receipt or verification of payment. eGift cards are sent electronically to the purchasing party email address.

Our Gift Cards do not expire nor are they governed by any maintenance or dormancy fees.
We can deliver eGift cards to multiple e-mail addresses for you if you upload a .csv file with appropriate instructions. Physical gift card orders must be shipped to one address.
